Job Description: Testing and Commissioning Technician - CCTV and Access Control Systems
Position Overview:
We are seeking experienced Testing and Commissioning Technicians with expertise in CCTV and Access Control systems, particularly with experience working with Honeywell and Lenel vendor certifications. As a Testing and Commissioning Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the proper functioning and performance of security systems through meticulous testing and commissioning activities. Your technical skills and attention to detail will contribute to delivering high-quality and reliable security solutions to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Work closely with the Testing and Commissioning Engineer to understand project requirements and system design.
Assist in developing testing and commissioning plans for CCTV and Access Control systems, focusing on Honeywell and Lenel vendor certifications.
Execute comprehensive testing of security system components, including cameras, access control panels, sensors, and related hardware.
Ensure that all system functionalities, features, and integrations are properly tested and meet design specifications.
Perform system configuration, programming, and parameterization as required for testing and commissioning purposes.
Assist in troubleshooting and resolving any issues or discrepancies identified during the testing and commissioning process.
Collaborate with the installation team to ensure that system installations meet design specifications and industry standards.
Coordinate with the Testing and Commissioning Engineer and project teams to schedule and execute commissioning activities.
Provide technical support during the testing and commissioning phase, addressing any technical challenges or concerns.
Document and report test results, system performance, and any identified issues in a clear and concise manner.
Assist in training end-users on system operation, functionality, and maintenance procedures.
Stay updated with the latest advancements and industry best practices in CCTV and Access Control systems, particularly with Honeywell and Lenel products.
Participate in project meetings and provide technical insights and support as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or vocational training is a plus.
Proven experience in testing and commissioning of CCTV and Access Control systems.
Strong knowledge of security system technologies, with familiarity in Honeywell and Lenel vendor certifications.
Proficiency in conducting system testing and commissioning activities, including configuration and parameterization under guidance.
Basic troubleshooting skills and the ability to assist in resolving technical issues in security systems.
Attention to detail and a methodical approach to testing and commissioning processes.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and follow instructions from the Testing and Commissioning Engineer.
Basic knowledge of tools and equipment used for testing and commissioning activities.
Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in security systems.
Relevant certifications from Honeywell and Lenel are desirable.
