Ihre Aufgaben
- Responsible for executing genomics- and transcriptomics in-vitro, in-vivo and ex-vivo experiments for various therapeutic areas (inflammation, neuroscience, oncology, cancer immunology, cardiometabolic and respiratory diseases)
- Responsible for running next generation sequencing (NGS) experiments (e.g., sample QC and NGS library preparation) within the group executing high and low throughput NGS library strategies (e.g., bulk RNA-seq, single-cell applications, spatial transcriptomics), and reporting QC results
- Work together with technicians/research scientists and execute RNA/DNA wetlab quality control and library preparation for bulk NGS studies as well as cell/nuclei wetlab quality control and library preparation for single-cell genomics
Unsere Anforderungen
- Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Genetics, Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field with several years of research- and NGS experience, preferably in the biotechnology- and / or pharmaceutical industry
- Practical experience in the design, development, validation and execution of genomics experiments (e.g. bulk transcriptomics, single-cell/nuclei RNA-seq, spatial transcriptomics)
- Experience with RNA / DNA extraction and nuclei isolation from tissues and cells as well and preferably the cultivation of mammalian cell lines / primary cells from various species
- Ability to work independently to design, execute, and report on experiments and to collaborate with multicultural project teams
- Excellent team player with strong time management and organizational skills paired with the ability to communicate across different hierarchies and cultures
